If you are looking for a person by their university this is a little different than other searches. Most universities have a search feature, and they will help find people – whether students of faculty – as long as you have their name, especially the last name, and spell it right.
There are two ways to begin your search. The first is by looking therough the search engines for the university people search site for the school you are looking for. The other way is to look up the school itself and use the tools they have available on their website. Both methods will help you arrive at the same place.
Another way to find people – not necessarily through the university itself – can be to look through the class reunion sites. This might not take you to colleges every time, but sometimes it does. When you go onto a class reunion site, especially if you are unable to locate an individual therough a university site, you will most likely be able to find the high school they graduated from. If you can find that information, you can probably find an address, phone number or other information that can at least give you a starting point. You can use the information to search forward. Mailing a letter to an old address might get it forwarded. Calling a phone number might yield results.
Regardless of how you choose to try and find someone it will take a little work and some digging, but if you don’t give up you should be able to find the person you are looking for.
